As we are still in November, I am going to include this postcard of the Garden of Remembrance. The enamelled, lapel badge, pictured below it, is a rather sad reminder of the consequences of war. The letters at the bottom stand for Limbless & Disabled Ex Service Men's Association. This is obviously a badge for the Blackburn branch. It puts some perspective on it, when you remember that every other city, town, village and hamlet, would have had their own branches.
